Every salon POS claims to “do everything”. These are the six jobs we were built around, each with its own page explaining how it works on a real salon floor.
All ten features04Feature · The book
A full colour takes thirty minutes to apply and thirty-five to process. On paper that whole hour belongs to one client. In GetSalonPOS the processing time is a hatched gap in the stylist's column, and the desk — or the client booking online at midnight — can put a fringe trim or a blowout into it.
Deposits sit on the same booking. Ask for a deposit on colour, extensions and bridal only; it shows on the appointment, applies itself at checkout, and is kept or refunded under your policy with a record of who did what.

“Most salon software was built for whoever sells the software. A salon floor needs one book, honest commission and a shelf that sells — in the language the owner thinks in.”Editor's letter · The Salon Edition
Fan the book open as you scroll. Drag it to turn it, or pick a swatch below: each one is a part of the salon the software runs.
12The money column
Stylist commission is the share of service and retail revenue paid to the stylist who did the work. GetSalonPOS applies your rules — flat or tiered, service and retail at different rates, product cost deducted if you want — and shows every line, so payday is a check, not a debate.
Commission rules in full| Line | Revenue | Rate | Paid |
|---|---|---|---|
| Services to tier | 2,000 | 40% | 800.00 |
| Services above tier | 650 | 45% | 292.50 |
| Retail recommended | 310 | 10% | 31.00 |
| Refund: toner redo | −40 | 45% | −18.00 |
| Week total | 2,920 | 1,105.50 |
Illustrative, currency-neutral numbers. Tips are recorded separately and never mixed into commission.
A salon lives on the return visit. Each station of the loop is a part of the software, and each hands the client to the next without a second app.
01Appointments
The client books from Instagram, WhatsApp or the desk. Stylist, service, real duration and processing gap are all in the book.
How book works02Deposits
Colour, extensions and bridal take a deposit at booking. It sits on the client card as advance balance until the visit.
How deposit works03Client history
The stylist opens the card: last formula, patch-test date, preferences. The new formula is saved for next time.
How service works04Retail + commission
Service, add-ons and retail go on one ticket. The deposit is applied, tips recorded, commission calculated per stylist.
How checkout works05Loyalty
Reward points print on the receipt; the next appointment is booked before she leaves, or she gets a reminder when she's due.
How rebook worksAbout 25 minutes for a salon with up to 40 services. Bigger menus take longer at step III; send us your spreadsheet and we import it free.
Chapter I3 minutes
Create your account with an email or phone number and choose your country. Your currency, tax display and date format follow the country; your language can be changed any time.
Chapter II5 minutes
Add the salon address, opening hours, tax rates and receipt layout. Then add stylists, assistants and front desk as users, each with their own role and PIN.
Chapter III12 minutes
Import your service menu and retail stock from a spreadsheet, or type them in. Services carry a duration and processing time; products carry a barcode, cost and stock count.
Chapter IV5 minutes
Your online store is generated from the catalogue you just added: products with prices, photos and stock, plus a booking page. Share the link, put it in your Instagram bio, start taking bookings and deposits.
64The atlas
Each country has its own price, its own currency and its own tax display, set for what salons there pay — not an exchange-rate conversion of a US price. Pick a country in the masthead and every price on the site follows.
$49 /month · Salon
Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
AED 199 /month · Salon

Dear editor,
Saturday used to be two books: the paper one at the desk and the one in my phone. Now the colour gap is a real slot. My nieces book blowouts into it, and the commission sheet on Sunday night is gone. My mother reads the screen in Vietnamese, I read it in English.

To the desk,
The deposit on balayage paid for itself in the first month. People who don't show were always the new clients from Instagram; the deposit link sorts them out before they take a Saturday slot. Formula notes on the card mean my assistant can mix without calling me.

Hola,
The second salon was where my spreadsheets died. One client list for both shops, stock that I can move when Jackson Heights runs out of the purple shampoo, and receipts in Spanish for the clients who want them.

Dear team,
Our clients book on WhatsApp, our stylists speak four languages, and VAT has to be right on every receipt. Prices in dirhams with VAT included, staff screens in their own language, and the bridal party on one booking with one deposit.

Assalam o alaikum,
Wedding season is three months of madness. Advance payments by JazzCash are on the client card now, not on a slip of paper, and the commission for each beautician is there at the end of the month. My staff use it in Urdu.
