Salon data security, in plain words
Your client list and colour formulas are the salon's most valuable asset. Here is how they are stored, backed up and protected — and what we do not claim.
Six things that protect your data
Hosted, not on the tablet
Lost or stolen devices don't carry your data.
Daily backups
Automatic, with off-server copies.
HTTPS everywhere
All traffic is encrypted in transit.
Roles and PINs
Each person sees only what their job needs.
Audit trail
Sales, refunds and edits name the user and time.
Export and delete
Your data leaves with you whenever you want.
- What we do not claim
- We do not claim PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA or any country certification for GetSalonPOS. Card data never touches our servers; your processor handles it under its own compliance programme.

Security questions
Hosting
Where is my salon data stored?
On servers we run for GetSalonPOS, not on your tablet. If a device is lost, your data is not on it.
Is my data backed up?
Yes, automatically every day, with copies kept off the main server.
Is the connection encrypted?
Yes. The app and this website run over HTTPS only.
Do you store card numbers?
No. Card payments happen on your processor's terminal; we only record the amount and method.
Your rights
Who owns the client data?
You do. Export it any time; we never sell it or contact your clients.
Can I delete a client's data?
Yes, delete or anonymise a client on request.
What happens if I cancel?
Export your data first; we keep it for 30 days, then delete it.
Are you PCI or SOC 2 certified?
We do not claim certifications. Card security sits with your payment processor, which carries its own compliance.
