GlossGenius questions

Comparing

Is GlossGenius or GetSalonPOS better for a solo stylist?

Both work. GlossGenius is very polished for solos. GetSalonPOS Single Chair is priced for 1–2 chairs and grows into a team without changing system.

Can I keep my processing rate?

With GetSalonPOS you choose your processor and negotiate your own rate. GlossGenius uses its own flat processing.

Does GetSalonPOS have a booking website?

Yes. Every plan generates an online store with a booking page from your catalogue. A designed, managed website is an option.

Can I run two salons?

Yes, from one account, with per-location stock and staff. See multi-location.

Is there a per-stylist fee as I hire?

Not inside your chair band. Moving from 2 to 8 chairs means moving from Single Chair to Salon.

Switching

Can I import my clients from GlossGenius?

Yes. Export your client list (and services and products where GlossGenius allows it) as a CSV and we import it free. Appointment history usually comes across as notes on each client. See switching.

Will I lose my future bookings when I switch?

No, if you plan it. We import upcoming appointments from your export or you run both systems for one or two weeks, taking new bookings only in GetSalonPOS until the old book empties.

Do I need new hardware?

Usually not. GetSalonPOS runs in a browser on the tablet or computer you already have. Card machines stay with your own processor. See the hardware guide.
