A Booksy alternative with no per-staff fee
Booksy charges a base price plus a fee for each additional staff member, and fees on new clients through its Boost feature. Salons with several stylists often find a flat chair-band price easier to plan for.
Which should a hair salon choose?
For a salon with four to eight stylists, one flat price per location usually beats a per-staff bill, and keeps assistants and the desk free.

Booksy questions
Comparing
How much does Booksy cost per staff member?
Booksy lists a base monthly price plus a fee for each additional staff member, up to a cap. Check Booksy's current pricing.
Is GetSalonPOS good for barbershops too?
It works, but barbershops with walk-in queues and chair rental are better served by our sister edition for barbers through the SmartPOSHub family.
Do assistants count as staff?
No. Only bookable stylist chairs count. Assistants, front desk and managers are free users.
Can I take deposits like on Booksy?
Yes, per service, held on the client card. See deposits.
Can clients book from Instagram?
Yes. Put your booking link in your Instagram bio and stories.
Switching
Can I import my clients from Booksy?
Yes. Export your client list (and services and products where Booksy allows it) as a CSV and we import it free. Appointment history usually comes across as notes on each client. See switching.
Will I lose my future bookings when I switch?
No, if you plan it. We import upcoming appointments from your export or you run both systems for one or two weeks, taking new bookings only in GetSalonPOS until the old book empties.
Do I need new hardware?
Usually not. GetSalonPOS runs in a browser on the tablet or computer you already have. Card machines stay with your own processor. See the hardware guide.
